CHOOSING THE RIGHT KIDS' SKI RENTAL IN MONTGENÈVRE

The safety and comfort of our youngest skiers are essential, which is why we offer flexible and lightweight skis adapted to their size. Our experts take the time to properly adjust the bindings based on the child's weight and skill level.

Carlo Abbà

At ABBA SPORTS, the experience of Carlo Abbà and his team has been building for 35 years. For this 2025-2026 season, we welcome you at 291 Route d’Italie, in the Soen building. The organization is designed for your comfort: you put on your skis 30 meters from the shop. The Espace Prarial and the ski schools are accessible in just a few steps, since the slopes are only 40 meters from our door. Discover our access to the slopes.

Forget carrying equipment in the morning. The heated lockers at the Prarial area are located 30 meters away. Your children slide their feet into dry and welcoming boots every morning. It’s immediate thermal comfort. More details on the storage service.

Children's equipment: flexibility and lightness

Equipment that is too heavy hinders progress. We select progressive ranges so that the pleasure on the Montgenèvre slopes is immediate.

For the first steps at the Piou-Piou garden, the Ski Baby Jun range (under one meter) relies on maneuverable skis like the Salomon QST MAX XS or the Dynastar My First Fox. As soon as they aim for their first stars on the blue runs (Junior Blue range, under 1m30), the Dynastar M Menace Team Jr takes over. Experienced young skiers under 1m40 move towards the performance of the Nordica Doberman Combi Pro S or the Fischer The Curv Ro Jrs. For those who prefer snowboarding, the Raven Board Core Junior is a fun and reactive board.

Selection of children's equipment at ABBA SPORTS

We know kids grow fast. A shoe size can change in a few months. Morphological adjustment is done with precision in-store, from Baby models (size 22 to 32) to Junior boots like the RSJ 65 (size 22 to 40).

Adjusting for reassurance

Safety relies on technical facts. We follow the ISO 11088 standard for the manual adjustment of the DIN value of the bindings using a screwdriver. This precise action on the front toe piece and the heel piece guarantees reliable release. Please provide us with the weight, height, age, and level during booking. These figures allow us to adjust the equipment to the child's morphology.

The helmet is essential: the Cairn Loc Active Jr model covers head circumferences from 45 to 65 cm.

Montgenèvre holds the label Famille Plus. Local structures, such as ESI Montgenèvre which limits its groups to 8 students, ensure learning in excellent conditions.
